Get Work partners with Google to support tradespeople

A new online lead generation service aimed at UK tradespeople has been launched today by Get Work in partnership with Google.

Get Work provides an automated lead generation service for UK tradespeople, making it easy for them to get job leads via Google Ads. It is currently available to 12 trade sectors on a subscription basis - roofing, joinery, plastering, rendering, building, loft conversions, electrical, landscaping, driveways, plumbing, heating and decorating.

Tradespeople complete a short online questionnaire and Get Work's automated platform helps users to set up a dedicated landing page and a Google Ads account. The service also provides call management, account optimisation and reporting.

Get Work's business model is intended to offer an entry-level price point that makes online advertising more accessible to tradespeople.

The platform has been tested on a small sample of customers across the UK since February 2018 and has already generated over 15,000 local leads for tradespeople, worth over £40m.

Nick Cole, founder and managing director of Get Work, said: "Tradespeople remain an underserved group when it comes to Google Ads. Marketers and agencies have often found it difficult to provide a comprehensive service to members of the trade where budgets can often be prohibitive.

Not only do we deliver regular leads for our tradespeople, but we provide a platform to track those leads through to completion; showing our customers precisely how much they've spent and earned whilst using our service."

Early users say Get Work has enabled them to expand their business. Ben Pulham of Pro Build in Norfolk said: "Since using Get Work's service I've been able to grow my business and expand into new areas. We've quoted over £400,000 worth of jobs in the first two months alone and recruited six new tradesmen to assist in winning work and delivering it. I know we can rely on Get Work's service to help expand further, they're easy to work with, professional and they've got a good understanding of the market."
